Ring. Ring. Knock, Knock.
You look though the peephole and see what appears to be a local Life Insurance salesman. He’s going door-to-door to convince people that his plans and his premiums for the local office are better than every other plan out there.
Quick, do you:
A) Duck behind the couch and hope that he doesn’t start peering in the window?
B) Open the door, slap up a “No Solicitors” sign, and close it before he has a word to say?
C) Tell him that you’ve done your research online and know that your plan is the best fit for you already.
If your answer isn’t “C”, well then, good luck!
Life insurance is one of those necessary items where you want to have it but you never want to use it. Many people are emotionally attached to a Life Insurance purchase, thinking that when they sign a policy they are signing a death certificate.
People, please! Life Insurance does not have to be complicated, and by no means are there any negative stigmata to holding a policy. Think of it this way: you will die. Eventually. And the longer you’ve held that policy, the greater the benefits and easier the redemption by your loved ones will be. The younger you secure your policy, the less your monthly premium will be. And if your health is good now, your rates will be lower AND you’ll have a higher chance of keeping your premium if your health status should change in the future.
But, those who are older and/or in poor health should be qualified for life insurance too, don’t you think? What is misunderstood is that there are many Life Insurance companies who will take on policy holders who are “less than optimal” in health or age. The hard part can be locating these companies.
It is easier than ever to compare life insurance online. You simply tell a little about your current age and health condition, and you’ll be matched to the rates and plans that fit your needs best.
Of course before you even start comparing plans, you may want to know more about some of the plans out there. I found a large selection of life insurance articles that will help inform you of the many different options that a life insurance shopper has. The better informed you are, the easier it will be to make a decision.
